Ichika Orimura is dense, very dense that he might put the ‘dense’ word into a whole new level. Hilariously, he takes a different meaning at every girl’s love at him, recognizing them as they want to know him better as a friend instead. The fact that IS’s world’s setting is where wimmen rules over men and he doesn’t know how to approach them does not help either. Walking in to Houki’s showering, got smacked in the head and did not know what’s his role in that mistake… Yup, pretty chaste.
Ichika is generally very kind and accepting others, and he is very protective to those who he holds dear. It goes without saying that he tends to do things that would save others in exchange for his own limbs, there’s that episode 11 tragic moment and such. While he’s pretty protective, one could address his actions as rash instead, since he basically did not think of anything else besides saving a person. All of his protectiveness was because his sister sacrificed a world championship to rescue him when he’s in his younger days. Thus, Ichika vowed to repay all of it by protecting others and will not disappoint his big sis, Houki, and his entire harem by living up to their expectation. Being a guy in the world where male basically sucks, Ichika is talented in doing household chores, especially since his sister was usually busy outside. He’s a hardworker at heart, and he’s very headstrong about his ideal of protecting everyone.
Coming in with the dense part of him, Ichika’s not exactly the smartest when it comes to learning. Compared to everyone in his class, he’s… well, pretty idiot. Although he can cover his brain with hard works in the end, he still needs more time than people in general to do so. Also, I said that he’s generally very kind, but there’re some triggers that could angered him; when someone insulted his friends, family, or country, for instance. When he is angered? All of his trash talk, man.

As the very first male IS pilot in the world, Ichika’s pretty much the beginning of something new. While not very spirited when he first entered the IS academy, he is very optimistic when it comes to protecting everyone, may sounds stupid to everyone else, but hey, he managed! He was able to give positive influence to Houki and Laura, to the point the two females changed into a better individual. Sadly, he’s pretty innocent when it comes to loves, or girls in general.
On the other hand, he’s pretty much a foolish choice in brain department, as he’s not very clever himself. He’s also immature, impulsive, and lawless when there’s someone needs a protecting, since he will abandon orders and everything else for that cause alone.

Yesterday, when Ichika was entrusted with the position as the cook for the party in the hotel, he could not express how glad he was. If there’s something else besides controlling an IS that Ichika Orimura was proud for, it was this; cooking for everyone. The second that he was dismissed to pick the menu, he quickly headed for the local supermarket and basically brought one of every ingredient there.
Tonight? Things were kind of out of hand. Sure, he was able to make enough food for everyone to enjoy, but before everyone could even settle for the half of the plate, a huge Shadow just had to blow things up. As everyone prepared their respective weapons and Personas, Ichika could only stare at the destroyed meals in pure horror. Today, he learned something new the hard way.
Do not hold any form of parties outside the hotel in Dark Hour no matter what, or else you’ll only waste foods.
